It’s hard to believe that winter is already here! Just a week or so ago I finished my student teaching and all my courses. All that’s left now to complete my MEd is to pass the comps, which I’ll be taking on January 23rd. This has been such a whirlwind wild ride, and I have gained so much from this experience. I am really in awe of how much I have learned, and how great TCNJ has been.
Of course, now that my student teaching is over, I had to say goodbye to Pace Charter School and New Jersey as a whole. I am going to miss those kids so much. Honestly, they made even the difficult or stressful days so worth it with their enthusiasm and their smiles.
One of the last things I did (other than writing lots of lesson plans and teaching them) was decorating my cooperating teacher’s door for the holiday season. In my family, it is traditional to make a “Hexenhaus” or, in English, a gingerbread house in the style of Hansel and Gretel. I decided to try and recreate this feeling with our classroom door.
